Memory Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Draydyn and the HUGE dumpster

So I have this really funny story to tell about my 4 year old Draydyn and the neighbor boy down the street, about a month ago they were playing and I hadn't seen them for about 20-30 minutes or so which isn't unlikely for those 2, but I was getting ready to go to town and needed Draydyn to come home and get changed because I knew he would be muddy, when those 2 are together they are always into something or else come back covered in mud. So I called for them outside and nothing. I then asked Quentyn if he could go and look for Draydyn in the field because they weren't at the neighbors boys house so he reluctanlty went and yelled for him and nothing kept calling for his little brother getting nervous and scared thinking the worst like big brothers do and then all of a sudden he could hear crying so he walked towards the crying. Quentyn got to where the crying was coming from and couldn't believe it was coming from a huge white dumpster that is in the middle of the field. Draydyn and his little friend climbed into the dumpster, the neighbor boy could get out but Draydyn couldn't so Quentyn being the good brother that he can be climbed in and helped them out and can I say that they were clear to the bottom of this dumpster. I am just glad that it wasn't garbage day, or they would've had a nice ride to the county landfill. Draydyn will tell you not to climb in those big white dumpsters.

Quentyn's Birthday

I can't believe it my little man is 10 years old and it just crazy. we had a party for him at the park nothing real big just some family and a few of his good friends over and it was a nice night not to hot which was really nice. We got Quentyn a scooter and a Nintendo DS and Draydyn our 4 year old has really been wanting a scooter well he saw me wrapping Quentyn's and said if he doesn't get a scooter for Quentyn's birthday then he is going to brake something of mine and trying to explain to Draydyn that it wasn't his birthday was a little difficult than it would've been to most 4 year old because he doesn't take no for an answer very well.

So Quentyn got 2 scooters for his birthday and naturally Draydyn thinks that one is his and was more excited than Quenytn, and a nintendo ds and then made out with alot of money I guess if I need a loan I will go to Quentyn.

4 wheeler ride

So this last weekend we went on a 4 wheeler ride up on the mountain by Iron Springs and then up by Little and Big Brush Creeks with the kids and Joey's sister her husband and their kids we had alot of fun and the kids loved the ride and we took them down into the caves, before we went into little brush creek cave we ate some lunch and then we went in there and so Brandon, Julie and the kids, Joey all went down before me and so I was on my way down the trail mind I tell you it is a little steep well I started out at walking then it turned into a jog and then a run and then I fell face forward and hit some trees and rocks oh my gosh it hurt but it was so funny, we laughed but I sure was sore the next day and I have so many bruises all over my arms and legs.

Trip to Texas

Well we took a family trip to Texas to see my side of the family and we had a blast it was a 21 hour drive just 1 way. So needless to say we drove there in the middle of the night, the kids were so good, at least for being in a car that long together. We left Vernal on Sunday the 6th of July around 4:30 pm and got to my Aunts house around 5:00 pm Texas time on Monday. While we were there Quentyn and Timberlyn went to day camp 4 of the 7 days that we were there and loved every second of it, they practically lived in the water. My Aunt and Uncle have a swimming pool in their back yard and they got in it when they got home from camp, I am surprised that they didn't turn into fish.

Draydyn was a little unhappy that he didn't get to go to camp, but he got to spend time with the adults and go to lunch and shopping everyday and enjoyed that and even got to go to a petting zoo. He really liked the goats and even chased them a few times. He wants to move to Texas and so does Quentyn, Joey would if it wasn't so humid.

Timberlyn doesn't want to move there but she sure didn't want to leave Aunt Barbara's, we just had so much fun there and we can't wait to go back. She made a few new friends at camp and will hopefully keep in contact with them until the next time and then they will be able to be lifelong friends.

While in Texas I was able to see an Uncle that I haven't seen in 20 years and was shocked but it was a good visit and then we went to the cemetery and was able to see where my grandparents are buried and took some pictures to add to my genealogy. I had a wonderful visit with my Aunt and Uncle and then my other Uncle and cousin, met a few of my Aunt's friends and was able to see a friend that I met when we went to New York last summer. I will always treasure the visit.

Joey had a blast riding motorcycles and he got to experience something that most people don't get to experience in their lives he rode in the Patriot Guards which is a group that ride with the funeral precession of a Armed Forces that has passed on and it was a great honor for Joey. My Uncle, Joey and my other Uncle went on 3 of them while we were there.
